Independent & Shared Pretend Play
Create the menu, open the salon, and welcome the first customer. This 3-Piece Salon & Day Spa Pretend & Play Set gives children two connected ways to play: they can independently design their own salon menu, then use it for shared role-play with a parent, sibling, friend, doll, or stuffed animal.
First, children use the blank menu notepad and coordinating sticker notepad to decide what their salon will offer. They can add hair salon, day spa, and nail salon services, then choose from colorful nail-color stickers to finish their customized menu.
Once the menu is ready, the child can present it to a pretend customer, ask what they would like today, and use the separate check-off appointment notepad to record the customer’s hair, spa, and nail selections. Every finished menu and new customer creates another opportunity for storytelling, decision-making, and imaginative play.
How the Play Experience Works
1. Build the Menu: The child starts with the blank menu pad and uses the coordinating stickers to choose which hair salon, spa, and nail services their business will offer. Nail-color stickers let them create their own polish selection too.
2. Open for Business: After creating the menu, the child presents it to a parent, sibling, friend, doll, or stuffed animal and asks what their customer would like for their salon visit.
3. Take the Appointment: The separate customer-selection pad includes ready-made hair salon, day spa, and nail salon choices. The child checks off the requested services and uses those choices to guide the pretend appointment.

Independent Play: Create the Salon
The menu-building portion gives children an activity they can complete independently. They decide what kind of salon they want to run, choose the services they will offer, organize their menu, and select the nail colors available to their customers.
Because the menu starts blank, there is no single correct way to complete it. Children can make different choices each time, practice decision-making, and take ownership of the pretend business they create.
Shared Play: Welcome a Customer
Once the menu is complete, it becomes the centerpiece for shared role-play. The child can present their menu, ask a customer what they would like, answer questions, make suggestions, and record the final selections on the check-off appointment pad.
Parents, siblings, friends, dolls, and stuffed animals can all become salon customers. Children can switch roles, invent new personalities, and create a different story with every appointment.
Three Salon Experiences in One Set
The Hair Salon: Offer services such as haircuts, shampoo, blow-dries, hairstyling, braids, curls, ponytails, and accessories.
The Day Spa: Create relaxing appointments with facials, face masks, cucumber eyes, eye patches, hand treatments, foot soaks, scalp massages, and moisturizing lotion.
The Nail Salon: Add manicures, pedicures, nail color, and nail art. A rainbow of nail-color stickers lets each customer choose a favorite shade.
Designed for Repeat Play
Each paper activity pad contains 40 sheets printed on both sides, providing 80 playable pages per pad. Children can build new menus, welcome new customers, select different combinations of services, and create new salon stories again and again.
The activity pages are printed on thick 100 lb paper for a more substantial feel and added durability during play. Pages measure approximately 5 × 8 inches, providing plenty of room to make choices and add stickers while remaining compact enough for travel.
